My Continied Inspirations
Wheel Of Liverpool, Liverpool Arena, Looking Back At Royal Albert Dock
Above
The Wheel Of Liverpool is silhouetted, the curved design of The Liverpool Arena
is just to the left highlighted by the sun setting in the distance.
Although my main objective was to create a graphic image, it was also important
that the thick dark grey clouds were recorded in the sky….
The final image above was created using a process called High Dynamic Range (HDR).
Several images were taken of the scene, ranging from light to dark and “correctly exposed”, while the camera was attached to a tripod and composition remained exactly the same throughout taking the sequence of images.
The images were then “sandwiched” at the processing
stage recording a greater range of tones in the atmosphere, thus ensuring I was able
to “bring out”, the subtle range of mid to dark grey, white,
and darker blue tones from the clouds
in the sky.
Above The Wheel Of Liverpool and The John Lennon Peace Monument, the name of the sculpture is “Piece And Harmony”, created by Lauren Voiers, a 19 year old American Artist. The John Lennon Peace Monument is also known as The European Peace Monument, dedicated to the memory of John Lennon.
Peace & Harmony
was unveiled by
Julian
and
Cynthia Lennon
at a ceremony in
Chavasse Park,
Liverpool, on Saturday 9 October 2010 to celebrate what would have been John
Lennon's 70th birthday. The monument is now on the waterfront adjacent to
ACC Liverpool
at Kings Dock. The height of the monument is eighteen-foot.
I have included a small group
of people
silhouetted just by the monument to add life and also a sense of scale to the
bigger surroundings.
Above
Liverpool Arena (formerly Liverpool Echo Arena) and The Wheel Of Liverpool,
I
waited for groups of people that would add scale to the bigger surroundings.
1st
group of people:- Can be seen just away from arena.
2nd
group of people:- Silhouetted in the distance under the wheel
