Places Of Worship In Liverpool And Merseyside

The Liverpool Cathedral (Church Of England - Christianity)

Interior Photographs -  Altar, Organ, Ceiling, Stations Of The Cross, Crucifixion

The organ, built by Henry Willis & Sons, is the largest pipe organ in the UK, and one of the largest musical instruments in the world. It has two five-manual consoles (one sited high up in one of the organ cases and the other, a mobile console, on the floor of the cathedral), 10,268 pipes and a trompette militaire.

There is an annual anniversary recital on the Saturday nearest to 18 October, the date of the organ's consecration. There is a separate two-manual Willis organ in the Lady Chapel.
