The Liverpool Samba Carnival Brazilica



The Liverpool Samba Carnival provides a variety of fantastic photographic opportunities.
 It is always a pleasure to photograph the dancers and groups of performers at Abercromby Square who pose for the camera taking “time out” of making preparations.
It is amazing to capture the intensity of the artists rehearsing their routines to perfection, before the parade starts.



During the parade the performers often make a quick pose for the camera in performance.
The co-operation of the performers enables me to get better photographs
so I can raise more awareness for Blood Cancer UK, without their co-operation and patience it would be impossible for me to capture a lot of the images,
because I am disabled with Multiple Sclerosis and have to use a chaperone who assists me.

I wanted to express an atmosphere of vibrancy and excitement, using the colours of the carnival costumes, this was done by manipulating and mainly using cloning techniques
in digital software on my pc.
