The Liverpool Samba Carnival Brazilica

The Samba Carnival aka Brazilica is a vibrant celebration of culture and dance, inspired by carnivals in Brazil.
My photographs depict the Carnival Parade 2010 – 2017.

Dancers and members of dance troupes have changed who have performed at the carnival since I started photographing the event.

I have defocused distracting elements in the background and cloned elements of the dancers costumes into the background to add harmony to some of the photographs.

Preparations take place at Abercromby Square where the parade begins, then circulates around  Liverpool City Centre.   

A variety of fantastic free entertainment takes place, throughout the event.
