The photograph was taken inside The Albert Dock and life is shown on the bridge.

The Tate Gallery is on the left.

The cobble stones and ramp lead the eye towards the waterfront buildings and in the far background the Liver Building Clock and both Liver birds can just be seen.

The Port Of Liverpool Building’s distinctive black dome can be seen, just coming in from the right side in this part of the photograph.

The Architecture just beyond the ramp where people sit on the steps is near Mermaid House and The Piermasters house, I included people to depict life and add scale to the overall surroundings.

Above And Below Right The Piermaster’s House is an opportunity to revisit history when visiting the Royal Albert Dock.

The Piermaster's House is on the waterfront between the Museum of Liverpool and the Albert Dock, owned by NML.

Billy Fury Statue By Tom Murphy Near Piermasters House Royal Albert Dock Liverpool

A statue of the charismatic Liverpool singer Billy Fury, born Ronald Wycherley 17 April 1940, I took the Photographs of ther statue 24/9/11. Sculptor Tom Murphy.

Not only did Billy have an awesome powerful voice, he sang with genuine feeling and was very successful.

Two images selected, a full length (further below) shot to show his stage presence and a cropped image (just right) to reflect his character and emotion.

The Photograph was lit by the rays of the setting sun coming from the right hand side.

A nearby plaque from NML is also photographed above, detailing Billy Fury’s Life.
