Liverpool's Royal Albert Dock - My Continied Inspirations, Surrounding Area, Landmarks Near And Far

Some Images uploaded before Bloodwise had changed it's name from Bloodwise to Blood Cancer UK

Canal, Narrow Boats and Barges berthed in Salthouse Dock, I was “drawn” to take the picture at this angle to record the sun reflecting in the water to depict a subtle mood of tranquility.

Life is depicted as owners attend to their vessel  left of photograph.

When actually taking the photograph I “balanced” The Wheel Of Liverpool (far left), with the suns rays (near right) reflecting in the waters surface.

I use the term “balance” in inverted commas, because an imaginary diagonal line can be drawn linking the wheel to the reflection in the water.

Canal And Narrow Boats berthed in Salthouse Dock,  taken from an aerial perspective looking over The Dock Road.

The nearest vessel to the frame is called “Tapestry”

Distant Left:-Wheel Of Liverpool, Jurys In Hotel, M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool, Surrounding Features

Above I used the Royal Albert Dock Gates to frame the image and composed the photograph slightly towards the left.

The darker shadow is recorded to add a “touch” of drama contrasting with the road entrance.

I have used the road to lead the eye into the composition.

Above The Anglican Cathedral is used as a focal point in the photograph, framed by The Royal Albert Dock.

The Cathedral can be seen in the distance just above The Merseyside Development Corporation Albert Salthouse Bridge,

centrally placed in the photograph just towards the right.

At the processing stage I "brought out" the clouds more to add extra drama in the sky

Distant Landmarks:- Left To Right Metropolitan Cathedral, John Lewis Building Based In Liverpool One, St Lukes Church aka Bombed Out Church

Above The Liver Building, Cunard Building, and The Port Of Liverpool Building (The Three Graces) are depicted in the far left corner of the photograph.

The image is framed by a vessel  on the right side. A blue Barge/Narrow Boat can be seen sailing in the Royal Albert Dock.

The Pumphouse is composed centrally an can be seen just over the walls of the Royal Albert Dock Shopping area.
