La Machine aka La Princess, photographed outside The Liver buildings 6/9/08
A Mechanical spider came to Liverpool as part of a street Theatre event spread across the city.
colour has been used in the vertical image allowing the spider to stand out more against the building.
In the colour image I wanted to sum up the popularity of the attraction by including the people below.
I reproduced the image above right in Mono because I felt it summed up the menacing character of the Spider, they eye concentrates on the structure of what it is without being distracted by the colour of the object.
Superlambanana's paraded on George's plateau 9/9/08
The Superlambana's were paraded on St
Georges plateau before they were auctioned for charity. I used a superlamb with
the design of the cityscape and the tail of one with an 08 logo, to
represent that this was happening in Liverpool 2008.
Hope St Feast 21/9/08
In October a street event called the Hope St Feast was held, that featured a variety of entertainment as well as stalls and refreshment. 2008 really enhanced what Liverpool already has to offer as these type of events always gone on anyway, also 2008 was just as much about the people as anything. Included 2nd from left (3rd row of vertical images) are a band who perform locally called Xander And The Peace Pirates, who kindly posed for me after I had just missed their performance www.myspace.com/xanderandthesmokepockets.
Many events during Liverpool's culture year showcased the talent the city has, pictured below and in and in performance are Kicking Free Dance Company (set of images above are second row down on left)
