During the Summer of 2001 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at 25 years of age.

The words sent a real shiver down my spine, still do really.

I would like to take this opportunity to say that positive thinking helps the condition and it has been beneficial to Me

Multiple Sclerosis, can affect people of all ages in different ways.

Since being diagnosed with Ms I would  like to thank p.a.l.s. ,  the physios that I have been under and the MS Nurse.

I can only speak from my own experience, when I say

"It is how you deal with MS"

"Don't let MS Deal with you"

All The Very Best To All MS Sufferers out There!

Yours Sincerely, a friend, Dave.

PATIENT ADVICE LIAISON SERVICE-P.A.L.S.

About P.A.L.S.

Patient Advice and Liason Service (PALS) is a recent Government
initiative to provide advice support information and take up concerns.
There is a PALS in every Hospital and Primary Care Trust in England. The
PALS at The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery NHS trust is
unique as the service only works with people affected by neurological,
neurosurgical and pain relief problems.

The Walton Centre covers a wide geographical area including Merseyside,
most of Cheshire, North Wales, parts of Lancashire and the Isle of Man.
If you are covered by the services provided by The Walton Centre, which
includes those people who attend Outpatient Clinics to see a neurologist
from the Walton Centre in one of the 12 'satellite clinics' in the area,
then you can contact the PALS at the Walton Centre by emailing
tony.murphy@thewaltoncentre.nhs.uk or ringing 0151-529-6100.

Another source of information and non-medical support for people
affected by neurological conditions is the Mersey Neurological Trust, a
charity that runs The Glaxo Neurological Centre. This is independent of
The Walton Centre but complements their work in the community. If you
want information, support, advice about work or want to find out more
about their services contact them on 0151-298-2999 or visit their
website http://glaxocentre.merseyside.org.uk
