In And Around The River Mersey My Continued Inspiration  2007 - 2019

Images uploaded before Bloodwise had changed it's name from Bloodwise to Blood Cancer UK

The River Mersey Offers vast inspirational subject matters to be photographed,

apart from Liverpool’s Waterfront, which is of course fantastic!

The River Mersey had always inspired me In 2011 I held an exhibition called "In And Around The River Mersey.
The River Mersey will always continue to inspire me.

Above An image of Liverpool’s Waterfront using the Grounds of Wallasey Town Hall in the Foreground on the right, the photograph was taken looking over Wallasey Beach.

The Liverpool waterfront is seen in the distance.

Above An aerial perspective Taken looking back towards The Birkenhead And Wallasey Landscape, Wallesey Town Hall is on the far left of the landscape

and a yacht sails in The River Mersey.

Above Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ The King Liverpool (RC) (Left) and The Liverpool Cathedral (C of E) (Right), taken from The River Mersey

Above HMS Queen Victoria one of the many fantastic liners and vessels who regularly  visit The River Mersey,

this was a visit to celebrate the Liverpool shipping line Cunards 175th year Anniversary in 2015.

Above The Runcorn Bridge Fiddlers Ferry Power Station are composed from a distance

Below A closer photograph of Runcorn Bridge

Above A view across the Mersey estuary to the Wirral peninsula, seen from Otterspool.

The land in the middle ground is Port Sunlight River Park.

The water immediately in front is the River Mersey and an outline of the Welsh Hill Moel Famau is on the right

Above Taken in West Kirby, one of many fantastic places to visit if staying on Merseyside.

West Kirby is a town on the north-west corner of the Wirral Peninsula in Merseyside.

The photograph depicts, a yaht sailing on West Kirby Marine Lake, just in front of West Kirby Beach.

The view in the background is of the Welsh Hills.

A view of the River Mersey photographed from Halton.

The landscape belongs to Frodsham, Widnes and Warrington are nearby areas and the Cheshire Countryside.

I used the bend in the River to lead the eye to the yacht

Above People walking on Wallasey Beach have been used to add scale to the surroundings.

A 5mm white border has been added to this picture, to give the photograph "lift", presenting the image on a black background would have had a “dulling effect” on the darker subject matters photographed, such as the shadows on the grass.

Above The Castle was photographed from the left side showing two sides of the building allowing the Lighthouse to be recorded in the distance,

adding a smaller element compared to the bigger castle adding scale to the photograph.

Above A vessel on the River Mersey Close to Birkenhead, with a seagull flying above the rays of light.

A photograph I took in the late 1990’s to early 2000’s on print negative film of The Johnnie Walker Statue At Liverpool’s Pier Head.

The Statue was designed by Tom Murphy and has been at The Pier Head since 1998.
